Book of Common Prayer

Study project

Stefan Willerstorfer designed this project at the MA Information Design course at the University of Reading (UK).

The book contrasts the mass texts of the Anglican Church from 1662 with those from 2000. Readers are pointed to identical and modified texts as well as to missing texts and new texts. The idea of splitting the book horizontally (top: 2000, bottom: 1662) supports comparative reading, losing neither the books’ originality nor the book-specific structure of double-page spreads.
